Anne Recchia: Newburyport Artist

Anne Recchia is a member of the Newburyport Art Association and a former member of the North Shore Arts Association and the Concord Art Association.  She was a member of Bridge Gallery, an artists’ co-operative in downtown Newburyport.  Her work is in private collections in the United States and Europe.

A former French teacher, Anne has also taught Art in public schools and privately. She is currently teaching a watercolor class at the Emma Andrews Library on Purchase Street in Newburyport.  In May 2004, she spent a month as “Artiste-en-Residence” in Dinan, France, combining her love of French and Art.

The artist attempts to recreate the atmosphere of the seasons on the New England coast.  She hopes her work will evoke favorite places and pleasant memories.
